I have the Hooch bumper stickers on my car and everyone around here calls my car the Haunted Hoochie at the day job...lol...it gives me a good reason to then tell them about the insanity I've experienced at your haunt!

Excited to visit

I'm new here, don't know why I waited so long to join considering how much I love this industry. Anyway figured I'd post here first cuz I've always wanted to go to the hooch, and might finally be able to make the 7 hour drive this year, I'm so pumped. Badass, your haunt looks amazing. Can't wait to visit. Anyway, was just wondering, what do you plan on doing with your haunt when you retire? Would you allow your crew to keep running it, or close it? Just curious about it. Anyway, can't wait to visit the worlds most extreme haunted house, looks like a great show.

i am back home for a reality show party then tomorrow and i am off again ...taking advantage of a new perspective on life...

i created this monster and it is a wild one.....and now i am setting her free....

observing the haunt and my crew operating it from an outsiders perspective.........and as i have been doing this i have been amazed at the performance and leadership skills they posses

Kelly Anderson.....thank you for relating to the hooch story...it is nice to keep a few mementos from meager beginnings....reminds me of our commitment to doing things that had never been done before... and
making lemonade outta lemons is a fundamental part of success...so hang up what makes u feel good and reminds u of who u are and where you are going....and put the rest into semi trailers and
plan for a retirement auction...i am up to 18 semi trailers not including the actual hoochie

the year was 1990 and we were in the concert business as was Dave Faukman..
thats right i am about to show off preScarefactory and all the spin offs that followed

anyways it was a guillotine were the head once again heckled the crowd before and after the decapitation
the eyes and mouth both moved with air and the valves were hand controlled so the guy running the mic could say anything he wanted and keep the mouth in time...
just a steal frame head with actuators a mask and Velcro... the guillotine was enormous and made just the same way we do it today..all 100 year old oak and a stainless blade..
the head once cut off hung from 550 cord and swung towards the crowd..
everyone thought it was great. now its like a trophy in my office

I SO KNOW WHERE YOUR COMING FROM ON THIS ONE!!!

I know I haven't posted on here much over the past few years, but a few years ago I did a haunt room that really struck a cord with everybody involved! There were very few things I could keep as mementos but the best one of all was this saw blade we made. It was on a pneumatic air ram that came towards the patrons while they were seated. The blade only moved about 6-8 inches or so, and then the lights went out!!!! OH that was awesome! I kept this piece for when we finally got moved into our new place. As soon as the walls were painted in my shop the saw blade went up!!! I absolutely love it! Yah, people that walk in wonder what the hell...........but its all good!!!!!!!!! lol

Tim as I said last year, your haunt as ruined other haunts for me. I always compare them to yours and they just don't stand a chance. You have the best haunt around, I am just sad I don't think I will get to experience it this year due to work.

Crap.. I was stuck at a wedding in Hawaii. Must be scary as sh$t if Taters girlfriend was scared. I can only image the real life horrors she see's I think I'm going to fly out during the season... Do you have any slow days?
