  • NEW Gel 10 silicone masks

We have just gotten into Gel 10 for masks and prostectics. We did two build up masks last week. These were our trial an error masks. We are going to do molds for our next ones. We are just playing around with the stuff and trying to see what all we can do with it. Enjoy!

We were at Game Stop for there Resident Evil 5 release!

Selling them........mmmmmmmmmm! Those masks are one of a kind. They were not done with a mold. They are layers of gel 10 that were tinted and put on and sculpted while in the curing process. Never thought about selling them. Just making masks for my haunt. I might when we perfect the mask making process and come out with some good ones. Thanks for the great comments though. When we do one from a mold I will post it on here.

Yeah man, show us what you came up with.

And consider it, if you get the mask making process down, and enough people like it, consider selling some of them.

You might be surprised with the outcome.

Damn creepy good work. Too bad replicating them is so difficult. How many hours do you have into one?

I would say a total of 5 hours each on the masks. Since we put pieces of skull on the first layer we had to do alot of build-up on the masks. Also, this was our first time working with Gel 10 so we were very careful not to screw up and waste any. With the price of Gel 10 it is considered liquid gold to us haunters. Never want to waste any of it.

I made my first molded silicone mask as well, Bart and I performed at Zombie manor on fri their masks looked great inside the haunt, due to pro zombie prejudice I was relegated to the cold rainy parking lots in my wolfman get up.
                  Looking good Bart,

Allen I would love to have pics that you guys took that night!!!! The werewolf looked great! We already have two sculps that we are going to mold. A clown and werewolf. Hopefully they come out good. Trial and error! Hopefully we will have about 10 to 12 gel 10 masks before the season.

Those masks look really great guys, how much would you say you have invested in each mask for supplies, if you don't mind me asking?

I have made several build up masks like the zombies pictured, they are easier to make than the molded ones and much cheaper. they can be made for about
$100 each maybe even less, it all depends on how much material you use on them. Expect around $150-$200+ for materials alone for a molded one. There will be trial and error, and error, and error. So perhaps your first mask will cost around $250-$350 for your first decent mask. The material is not cheap, but it is amazing.
Contact Mitch at BITY mold supply and he will set you up, tell him Allen and Bart sent Ya.
Is there interest in a demo or a make and take lesson at a convention? Im willing, and If I get enough attendees then the prices of the material drops some.
