I love San Diego awsome city! I do think its a bit too far away though. There is no doubt that San Diego is a better looking city than most cities in America. I heard its one of the most expensive to live in though.

Sorry, but California is just waaaayyyyy too far in the bottom south-west corner of the US for that to work.

The majority of the Haunted Attractions in the country, as well as many of the major haunt vendors, are located in the Midwest and along the east coast. Asking them to travel to a far corner of the country just isn’t cost effective.

As for California being the entertainment capital of the world… who cares? As Larry has stated many times, this trade show is all about selling haunt goods. It is, after all, a trade show. All of the side activities would do nothing but distract people from buying on the show floor... maybe even more-so than Transworld Vegas… which was a disaster. Just my two cents.

        Adam, Why so........serious?

        Just a joke.

We already have the SD Comic-Con here and it makes TransWorld look tiny.

You know Adam, if side trips are such a distraction, maybe we should have that Darkness tour cancelled so the attendees aren't distracted from the trade show.

                  Mount Carroll is perfect!

3 hrs from O'Hare and the accommodations are dirt cheap! Both hotels are abandoned, just for the price of a crowbar everybody gets a room!
The one Motel has a nick-name, "Deadman's Motel" after a guy paid his month's rent in advance, went to his room, died , and a month later they found him! Good thing the AC had kept running that summer.
The other Motel is 4 stories , built to be a men's dorm for Shimer college (moved away) and after the men moved in became known as "The Animal Farm"and it is strangely decorated by the late Don quinn who maybe invented the theme room in Dodgeville Wis. at his "Don Q Inn".
Last I knew the rooms in his local creation used big, deep, copper cheese vats for bathtubs so pharting in the tub would be expected, "Who cut the cheese?"
And of course the international shrine to Mr. Tuxedo known as The Ravens Grin Inn!

Now that is a convention I want to go to. From what I hear its the BEST comic con. Is New York Comic Con the same? Kind of like the Wizard Worlds but better?

I'll put my vote in for Michigan. The metro Detroit area has dozens of convention centers that would be great for TW. Plus, with the way the economy has been in MI, I am sure there would be great deals on the convention center as well as lodging. There is also a ton of reasonable entertainment including 3 great casinos. While here take in a Red Wing Game. Windsor is only a few minutes away as well. And the last I checked, Michigan is still the haunted house capital of the world. Plus we border Ohio which also has a huge amount of haunts. Hauntcon went over very well when it was hosted here a couple years ago. There are several haunts that I am sure would be glad to get involved in the haunt tours including Realm of Darkness which is a very detailed haunt, Erebus which has the Guinness record for largest walk through haunted attraction and of course Deadly Intentions which has been rated as one of the scariest haunted houses around since 2003.

                      Say yes to Michigan.

I think, leave it in St. Louis... I don't want to keep attending a traveling circus! -Tyler

So far the best arguement I've heard towards keeping it in St. Louis was made by tc. Thats a good reason and a good example why not to move it. Moving it to CA wouldn't be cost effective just a vacation for all of you eastern people. Maybe some of you will be able to see a beach some day! But I digress if it ever comes to CA I'll be friggin happy but if it doesn't oh well just make sure it stays out of Alaska! Vincent This Time!

Personally I hope it stays in St. Louis but eventually It will probably go back to Chicago. But if it does its gonna have to been in mid or late March so the weather is a bit better if possible. But time will tell. Personally I think it will probably be better in Chicago if they dont bring the whole show to St. Louis. Just my two cents.
