Large outdoor torches

Does anyone know what fuels the large flame torches that are used outside of restaurants or entertainment places, even amusement rides? They have a large flame, I was thinking it's propane? Jurassic Park ride uses them and many other rides and entertainment sources, usually they look like decorative wrough iron bases. Who makes them, what are they referred to as, expected cost, how to install them on a building, any advice appreciated.

Flames

It's actually Natural Gas. Propane is a real pain in the butt to get approved for those sort of things, and natural gas comes as a piped service, so you'll never run out.

Do you know who makes and sells them? I looked up and noticed the Medieval Times in Orlando has some now, looks nice too...

So with Natural gas, you can have this set up and built through the electric company?

It depends

Upon your local utilitys. Some places the natural gas is a seperate company, some places it is not.
Natural gas is lighter than air, making it usually safer, it just floats up and away, whereas L.P. gas doesnot, it keeps falling, accumulating until something sets it off like a bomb or fireball.
LP gas is a by-product of making gasoline and the BTUs in it can vary greatly also making it harder to burn at a set rate which makes adjusting the burners a more difficuly job.
A well adjusted burner lites quietly and burns without soot.
A burner on LP out of adjustment can scream like a banshee and be heard from quite a distance or just go "Bang!" alot when they lite.
