Who you or your opponent is endorsed by means very little, unless you are desperate to dig up any dirt on a person that you can because you know that you're wrong and your desperate attempt to win the female vote ended up insulting and patronizing the entire U.S. population (turns out her supporters liked Clinton for her brain, not her ovaries, who knew?).

The thing on this issue for me is his WIFE was NEVER proud of America, and he refuses to say the pledge. If you don't think these our serious flaws in a man you want to RUN YOUR COUNTRY that many brave men and woman for hundreds of years have fought and died for well...

I see nothing wrong with refusing to say the pledge.
It's a stupid, outdated poem. That's all it is.
I also see nothing wrong with his lack of a flag pin (I wish he hadn't caved on that one).
I don't find any solace in the pledge, the flag, or any of the symbols that have been cheapened and merchandised in this country.
It's all a crock of shit, if you ask me. True patriotism has nothing to do with waving a flag and singing songs.
Dissent is patriotism, exercising your right to say, feel, and think whatever the hell you want is patriotism, protest is patriotism, questioning your government is patriotism. Blind faith in a country is not patriotism. That's just plain stupid (not to mention really fucking boring).


To touch again on the first topic, I would also go so far as to say that if he were a Muslim (which I firmly believe he is not), that would not in any way shape or form sway my opinion. Not even a little bit.
The same would apply were he Jewish, or Scientologist even.
I wish we had an Atheist running, but I'll settle for somebody who won't let their faith get in the way of their brain (*cough* Sarah Palin *cough* - sorry I've got a cold).
The bottom line is, we are NOT a Christian nation, and when people claim we are, it makes me ashamed to be in the same room (see also: state, country, planet, universe) with them. The great people who created this country intended it to be 100% secular. Not "we're a Christian nation but you can believe whatever dirt-worshipping mambo-jambo you want," but truly secular. The good old separation of church and state.

He went to a Muslim grade school briefly because that is the type of school they had, just like we have Catholic and Lutheran schools in the US. He is a Christian, remember the Rev Wright so many try to pinch him for. That is like saying so and so is no good because they know any one of the high profile (sometimes controversial) people in this industry.

I just want to point out after reading a few of these posts that the same nonsense happens every election. If you vote for Candidate A then America will be destroyed, if you vote for Candidate B then America will turn socialist. etc, etc.

Far be it from me to tell anyone what to do, but people, please if I may make a suggestion, if you want to argue on points of why you are voting for your candidate then fine, but casting out generalizations against either candidate on how they are determined to ruin the country is just silly. Think about it, both McCain & Obama want to take their vision to the Whitehouse to do what they think is in the best interest in this Country, It takes both the Congress and the Senate to actually get laws past to make things happen (the President signing off on it of course). I don't for a second believe that either Candidate either by ignorance or malice wants to harm America. Don't even try to convince me otherwise.

So vote for whoever you want and may the best man for the Job win and lets all get behind whoever it is to get our Country back to where it needs to be. If whoever in office screws up, we can boot them out in 4 short years, sooner if it is serious. This Goverment structure and Constitution were carefully designed and implimented by, in my opinion, some very intellegent people. Its been working thus far for 100's of years, lets give them some credit that maybe they might have know what the hell they were doing.

My two cents - take it or leave it. Most people are not going to be swayed either way any way, so it is pointless to bash each others Candidate.
