I love awkward and memorable moments in movies and especially like when the music doesn't fit the scene it;s in and changes that song for me forever.
A couple of my favorite examples would be: "Singing in the rain" in Clockwork Orange and "Stuck in the middle with you" in Resevoir dogs.
For S's and G's - what is your favorite movie/ music moment?

To my sensibiltys the entire movie "A Bridge Too Far", is so totally mis-matched musically, we see bodies being blown to pieces and furious explosions and the music sounds way too happy, almost as happy as a childrens morning cartoon show, all wrong, unless they are trying make it a comedy or a farce.
When the camera work, acting and story lines are doing what they are supposed to do, yet you notice the music way too much, then the music is wrong or at least placed wrongly within the movie scene.
Of course "Blair Witch" with no music drove my adult son the movie nut, crazy!

The song is used way to much to begin with,why ruin the end of a decent movie with that song.

[Gore Galore]

I would highly recommend a film called "Teeth" for several reasons. The music is in high contrast to the visual impact of what is happening in the film.
It is a dark comedy with some well developed Gore.
I don't want to give anything away. But I laughed my butt off while at the same time feeling quite uncomfortable. Sweet and disturbing at the same moment.

Mickey Mouse song at the end of "Full Metal jacket"

The ages of the soldiers in that conflict made them little kids infront of the tv when the Mickey song was being regularly played so actually that song fit Very well, unfortunately.
Maybe the way that song got everyone singing together as kids was being compared to raising an army and having that army have one thought, to fight!
Right or wrong or shades of grey? All considered at a later date.
