The tokens are used for the haunted house when you arrive you can see by the post how long your wait is. By this it allows people time to eat, listen to the band, watch movies or just hang out. We call 50 tokens at a time then they are put into a holding area then from there its broke down to 6 to 8 per group. So when you hear the annonunce say the doctor will now see persons holding a knife ( they look at the back of their token and if it has a knife on it then you know its your turn and if it has another item on it then you know its not your turn. And so on and so on.....P.S. what does everyone think of our menu?

That is a really good idea. Do you just collect the tokens and reuse them?

Yes we have seveal tokens sizzors, knife, razor, saw ect and issue 50 at a time we have 10 different symbols. They were made for us they are professional poker chips. The symbol on one side and Graystone Manor on the other and yes we collect them back and reuse them they run about 80-90 cents each if you buy at least 1000.00 if you wanted a cheaper way you could just buy solid colored chips or make your own and do it by colors. Actually we did they out frist year. Still no comment I think we have a good menu!

          Graystone,

You might want to try ChainsawChips ( http://www.chainsawchips.com/ ) to make your custom poker chips. Their minimum order is only 100 pcs @ $0.80 per chip. If your order is more than 500 chips, they only run $0.70 per chip. All you have to do is send them your custom artwork for the front & back and they can even print text along the side of the chip for you, if you want.

I had them customize some for me for Transworld and I couldn't be happier with them.

I agree. It's a good selection to choose from. I've been to many Haunts that don't have half that menu. Some don't have food at all.

I like your idea of using tokens. A local haunter I knew used numbered tickets for his haunt. He had a carnival midway in the center, with the haunted attraction surrounding it. Patrons could play games, eat, watch movies played on projection screens, etc until their number came up. He had several TV monitors set up around the midway to display the current ticket number. Patrons could go to the entrance of the haunt if their ticket number was greater than the number displayed on the TV screens. Since I didn't run the haunt, I don't know the specifics, but he told me it worked out very well. As a result, there were a lot fewer complaints from people having to wait in line, as they were entertained the entire time.

                  Haunted

I agree there are fewer complaints because with everything we offer live band, movies, eating ect they dont feel like they wait is that long and instead of standing in a line a mile long they are spending$$$$$$$$. And we all know this is a good thing.
