How do Vendors Price thier Props???

Im a buyer myself, however, I like to be more educated on how vendors price thier animatronics.
I know each has thier own method or formula.
Is there a formula they come up with on size and number of movements plus the type of components they use?

Curious to what others think...

I price mine using the actual cost of every component, down to each nut. Then, you have to add in an hourly rate for all the work involved to manufacture each one.
