Ok, so the latest idea is to use the balcony. As a guest you would enter on one side of the balcony cross over while a show plays on stage. I am not sure if the fire inspector is going to pass it but it still makes use of the space and keeps flow moving. Just dont know how to tie it into a school theme.

I thouht I had a big space to fill in my first year!

I have been helping with a haunt for about 8 years. This is my first solo year and I have about 25,000 sq feet. But 40,000...wow!

Man you could even have a whole other haunt for the kids, like the elementry section. For that matter you could do 3, elementry, middle and high school being the most extreme. That way they could do all 3 for a certain deal or the younger kids could just do the elementry, You would get some extra income maybe.

Good luck with whatever you do.

We just measured and we have 60K sq ft. including the waiting area! This place is huge! We are having no trouble filling it

If it's too expensive to theme the whole gym, just use low light to your advantage. Make the place nearly pitch black, except for whatever scare stations you decide to put in there. Making it really dark will save you from having to buy/make enough sets and props to fill a gym (on top of the rest of the school).
