Barring the all nude revue, I have a serious idea. How about letting different haunts do segments. I know most haunts add or redesign at least a few rooms a year. If you got a couple of them to film the work and do them as a ‘how to’ in the process, it would make a great DVD.
I would be willing to do one. One the rooms I’m redesigning this year would be perfect for it. It is going to be a room that we are remaking to have old antebellum look to it. It will incorporate various painting techniques, foam carving, decorating, prop building, furnishing and lighting. If you got several other haunts to design and construct a scene while going into detail on explaining how the details are done it would make a cool and informative DVD.

Lurker, thats a pretty sweet idea! Also, I would love to see a segment on how Netherworld sets up their "flyers". What type of harness they use and things like that. Like safety issues, how long they are able to stay in the harness etc.

Larry, I like the idea of the detailing DVD. Thats something all of us can use!

3) Finding and Buying the RIGHT props for theming

4) Creating natural looking barriers (keeping people away from dangerous things with theming).

5) Foam Carving

6) Hardcoating techniques

7) How to design, how to research

8) Uses for Camo Net


Any other idea's... now is the time to do this video as we are theming every single day!

I think we might make this video, but it will probably be the last one we make at least for a long time! I'm going to sorta get out of the haunt business after this years Haunt Show for a while... you might see me sorta disapear for a bit! I'm going to give this haunt tour a 110%, the next few magazines a 110%, and then I'm going to take a LONG BREAK...

I have to do a TON of work on Hauntworld.com and the new magazine site and some other things all things I will get done prior to TW... after that I'm taking a LONG BREAK to write a screenplay.

I have a very creative mind that feels trapped right now and I can't think straight so I need some new outlets... I will simply fall into like a trance like state to write this screenplay I think it will effect me emotionally! Its a deep deep deep story... one I think when I'm done will be highly sought after in Hollywood! We'll see...

In order to write it I must disapear for a while... but I'll be back eventually!

I know what it will take for me to write this screenplay and I know I will be lost in another World trapped in my mind... LOL.

I've always enjoyed sharing my success stories, my failures, and my experiences with this industry! Good or bad I think I've tried to give as much as I could! I want to help people its fun! We'll see if we can make another video prior to this years show, and two magazines, update all of our sites, renovate The Darkness and run a great tour during the show.

We'll also do our best to help our vendors find new customers! After that I will be gone for a while... so lets get to work the clock is ticking!

Our industry needs to rebound from a so so to off year... lets go!

If we can get this video done and help haunts improve their detail it will be worth every second we take to create it!!! We haven't done a video in a long long time so help me out here and tell me what you want to see so we can see if we can get this done... I want to help as much as I can!

Last night we sat around for 8 hours trying to figure out how to get Darkness completed in time... and after we finally finished that conversation we started talking about making this new video.

We have finally agreed to do the video using stuff we are doing in the Darkness now as segments for the video. I will post a list of all the stuff we are going to cover later.

I don't have it because it was typed into someone elses computer in a big 10 page list of stuff to do... LOL It will be emailed to me later and I'll post it up here. I know we came up with some cool stuff though.

Any new or old ways of ageing things to make look old. Or distressing different things. Metal and other things. Anything new that you guys might be doing now far as detailing. Foam carving or making different things from foam. Like in your pics in this thread like the coffin/crypt and other things. If your duplicating your cemetary part like those pics you showed a while back of that over grown and untaken cared of cemetary I would like to see alot of that being put together. I love gothic scenes ect.

Larry this would be an awsome DVD if put together right. Please do not make this like your "How to create a Haunted House" DVD which I was very disapointed it was more of a self promotion of your haunt and a few others. Look at this cool expensive haunt, no drool and oh her is an internet marketing tip. Not a whole lot of information that is usfull to someone wanting to get into the Haunt business especialy as a pro.

Now I don't want to diss you because if I could afford to have your company put one together for me I would but I want this to be A DVD you cant go without. A get into detail, step-by-step ,you too can make this happen DVD.
