    Speaking of NETHERWORLD

is there any video of ROB ZOMBIE'S visit there during the making of Halloween 2 which NETHERWORLD (I understand) was a part of ? Please enlighten me if you can.
Thank you! (I still have not seen the movie, but I have heard that some scenes and or props were used in the film from Netherworld) still waiting for the DVD release date. hopefully, by christmas.

Understandably, the review of Zombie Rampage was a bit more harsh than that of Blood Night!

I disagree with the statement made about Zombie Rampage "...there isn't anything original or innovative about this haunt". NEGATIVE. The fact they incorporated an Energy Drink in with the storyline and marketing of the haunt, PURE GENIUS!! That sentence could've been worded differently to get the point across...I understand it was opinion. I just disagree.

Well, it's not really used in the haunt itself with the exception of the queue line video that had very low volume and it's also on the website. It's smart marketing, but it's not really incorporated into the actual haunt.

Although the Zombie theme isn't anything new, I was glad to see a haunt commit to a theme so strongly. I'm more used to lip service being paid to a theme, where this one went all out. In that way, I found it more enjoyable than the main attraction even.

There are three rules to designing a haunt. Unfortunately, nobody knows what they are.

I must also have to disagree about Zombie Rampage. When I went through in Sept I was amazed. It is a total commitment to theme. That is what is so amazing about Billy and Ben. They theme everything from floor to ceiling. This is weird, but my favorite part was the little motorized mice that run down the pipe. Such a simple thing that I am sure 70 to 80% of customers miss. BUT just blew my socks off. I laughed my butt off from this gag.

And the marketing was the kicker. How inventive to design a haunt based on an energy drink and then to also sell the drink.
            Awesome!
I am just sorry I didn't get to attend this past weekend. I would loved to have hung out and gone through with all these haunters.

            Billy and Ben,
thanks again for setting the bar.
I know I am only a vendor, but I love what ALL you guys as haunt owners and operators do just amazes and inspires me everytime.
S0, thank you for the inspiration.

I loved zombie Rampage but they had me at the word Zombie lol add rampage and stick to the theme and it made my night. The set design and the makeup for this little haunt really made me feel like I just entered a zombie movie the fast pace and the great actors really made this a great side attraction. As for the Review the overall feel I get from the writer is he enjoyed the attraction it was just too short for him and that was his major complaint. As for originality I have not seen to many pure zombie apocalypse themed haunts that stuck to it to point where it could be convincing sets for a movie. Now if you meant it as the idea of zombies is not that original I can see that but often words are misinterpreted. As for the part about no characters standing out I would agree but to me that made it more creepy how many zombies do you remember from most films with a few exceptions. It is that nameless horde of decay out numbering you rising like a tidal wave to overtake the living that makes zombies so chilling

Kevin, I also loved the mice on the pipe effect! So simple, yet a perfect addition to the haunt.

Why did you let his location and building's look bother you in the review? I mean, who cares what the building looks like aren't you there to see the inside anyway? Buildings aren't cheap you know, so you take what you can afford nd do what you can to make it great on the inside. If a haunt has an actual haunted looking building but the inside sucks it's a waste of money...

My Ravens Grin Inn looks haunted and it is. (See : hauntedravensgrin.com)
It was once a brothel, some interior sucking may be expected from those old ghosts.

Thanks for the great reviews and all of the nice comments. It is cool when the little things you slave over get noticed by peers and fans, so often the details are unimportant to many of the guests. It is funny Noah, one of the lights in the Graveyard area went out - and by gum you noticed - That is nuts. Also I am always going down almost every night and turning up that cue line audio - Didn't do it the last weekends and they must have set it at a different level ( the setup gets redone everyday so we can use the loading dock) That is just too funny.

Anyway thanks for coming everyone and we will see you all in St. Louis!

i gott'a laugh with ben on that one.

                        anywho,

sidenote: was there a single clown inside Neterworld's haunt? i mainly wonder if they feel the need, like most haunts seem to, to stuff a clown scene in a haunt (even when it sticks out like a sore thumb unless a haunt does it right) mainly based on feeding on the fears a some people have of clowns.

We usually have one or two on the lot depending on if those actors happen to be available. If they are in the haunt depends on the theme - two years ago we did Primal Fear downstairs and it had a clown area, before that was Freak Pit that also had that element. It won't really feature in next years themes, but the downstairs will have a way it might fit. Zombie Rampage it didn't really go with.

Years ago when we did 3D we sometimes had clowns but once again it depended on the theme - There were no Clowns in Terror on Tiki Island or Planet X for example.

The lot is more random, and tends to have a collection of favorites from many years. You will often as not see a clown there.

                          Thanks!

FYI We have sort of an Online museum of all of our themes over the years - You can spot the clown themes I think! Freak Pit had a clown Icon Character -

I see all Ben. I see all. There was so much stuff in your haunt that it's hard to review it without going on and on. Your haunt is amazing and pretty much every scene is full of detail. I may expand upon what I saw in the review of Blood Night, but it's already long to begin with.
