Haunt I.D. theft is illegal?

Is haunt identity theft considered against the law or not? Just curious. For instance, someone got banned from a very few forums by using that ID Theft with multiple names, ya know? Just like performing that person is acting like someone else?

It all depends upon whether you are seeing this style of communication as simply a frivoulous thing or something serious.
Sometimes some of us need to know who we are "talking" to, don't you?
I can't see anyone tolerating someone else pretending to be them and stirring up unneeded crap.
Life is too short.
