It sounds like a lot of people delt with the impact of rain. It is to bad that crime has gone up a bit, but weather can just change the whole picture. I am sure some of the haunts that are in large buildings, might not have suffered, though the people that stand in line get wet.

Would it be a good idea for haunts to provide tents or something for cover so people standing in line don't get wet.........maybe an inclosed tent of some kind? I know for some this might not be possible, but for some maybe?

I know there might be some safety issues with this, but these tents could be heated as well.

A lot of outdoor haunts around here do put up the temporary tailgating tents. We built a small cover right above our entrance line and I know Netherworld used a lot of the tents tied together to cover the line the night we went!

our que is inside... however, a very odd problem that we encoured was that it was so humid out, and our building was so cold from the night before, plus all the people inside, that it was like a rainforest in there. it was so humid that there was condensation on the floor. it was like an even layer of water through the whole building, and people were slipping and such, it was so weird, but it was just from the humidity... very strange

this works well as long as the rain isn't accompanied by high winds....lmfao

I remember back.... one of the haunts I worked for tried to please the patrons by putting a tent outside for the que line and the high winds just destroyed it.... if this would happen while patrons are waiting inside it could cause injury in a FLASH

always a good idea to think about the "what ifs" I know it sure surprised me at the time...Theres no place like home...theres no place like home....lmfao your patrons could end up flying away !!...lol

But from a safety standpoint it's not enough because this is in a public parking lot and I park a car and a trailer and even build 2by4 studded walls around the tent with orange cones and reflective tape to hopefully keep someone from getting run over among all the traffic and nocturnal confusion.
"What if" some drunk wheeled along, passed out and ran through the tent?
My Uncle saw G.I.s killed in Germany when an Army truck ran off the road and ran over their tent.

That shirt reminds me of when I went trick or treating when I was a kid. It was raining and I had a paper bag for my candy. It was raining and I guess I was dragging the bag on the ground and the friction tore a hole in the bottom of the bag. When I got home all the candy was gone.....
