  • Best haunted house in L.A.?

Anybody know of good and scary haunted houses that happen every year in Los Angeles? My dad is coming in from Jersey and he loves the haunted house, and I want to take him.

I'm from TN and can't help you much. I guess I'd start by googling the locations near me.

The only one that comes to mind for me is the obvious one, The Haunted Mansion at Disneyland. If you guys find yourselves down in San Diego there's the Haunted Hotel and the Haunted Trail downtown, and the Scream Zone at the Del Mar Fairgrounds.

How about just North of LA(spoken like a true outsider) to Joshua Tree Inn. Back in 1973 a singer by the name of Gram Parsons od'd. His former road manager(famous for the Stones) stole his body from LAX on a promise with a broken down hearse and set the coffin a blaze with 5 gallons of gas. The sheriff coined the phrase 'Grand theft Parsons'.

What's the famous cemetery out there?

Isn't the Halloween house out there as well?

As far as haunted LA is of course much older than it looks now. I remember reading about Laurel Canyon and all the happenings but also what happened years before in the area. The place is full of unusual deaths.

The only really famous cemetery I know of in LA is Forest Lawn, but that place is more like a park than a spooky retreat.
