check it out......its a win - win situation in my opinon. if the remake sucks, we still have the old movie to fall back on......if its great, then we can all enjoy a fresh, up to date version of a classic we all loved.

i cant understand why people get all bent out of shape over a re-make. unless you invested more than 90 minutes of your time and a few buck out of your pocket.......then who cares? its a roll of the dice.....you might get lucky and witness a great movie.

      i welcome every horror remake!

        Whaaaaaaaaaa!?

Sure, I know Robert Englund is getting older, but I can't imaging anyone else playing the role of Freddy. While most actors can simply wear a hockey mask or put on a dark jumpsuit and pull off the look of a horror icon, Freddy has a certain charisma about him. That evil smirk, that voice, that demented yet comedic attitude, I don't know of anyone else that could pull it off other than Robert.

I will be going yo see F13 on Friday afternoon. I have been looking forward to it for months. I am not getting my hopes up for it to be a great movie. I will say that they have been promoting the Hell out of it and I am sure that it will have a huge opening weekend.

I read somewhere, that Billy Bob Thorton has already signed on to play the roll of Freddy. If Robert won't be reprising his roll, than for some strange reason, I can see Billy Bob pulling it off.

The stills with Billy Bob were just a stunt. When I talked to Robert he told me that he was under contract with them but doesnt know if he wants to do the role since he was snubbed at first..
