Racial SCAREFILING

Recent discussions in the live chat has brought up this topic very much and we were curious to see which race is consiedered the easiest to scare. Further more we were curious of eachothers race and cultural background. I'll start. I'm white and Italian.

they scare the same, they just react differently. So I am not sure your going to get good results. Actors and owners are more likely to remember the big reactions as opposed to how scared they actually were. Just my 2 cents.

"Big Reactions"= ?

Wouldn't "Big Reactions" equal big fear most of the time?
I know once and awhile someone can be terrified and yet it's difficult to determine because they are unexpressive, maybe that is because they are So Scared?
It is always entertaining when I see someone have a life changing experience here.
What do I mean? Someone is here laughing, joking..and then something very strange happens, something not physically possible for myself to have made happen...this house is haunted.
Some of them have to really re-think some of the basic foundations of their conscious realitys especially when for the whole of their previous life before that moment the incident happened they did not believe there were such things.
A grocery list of haunted items experienced here:

Touched
Kissed
Laid upon
Hair pulled
Things rubbing against
A room full of voices late in the AM
An active curse upon several thieves who took some small items from me
Moans, Screams, names called.
Electrical devices turning on or off when mentioned.
A full ghost of a woman in a white dress
A half-ghost , walking, opening doors
Psychic premonitions.
and more.....

Is drunk a race? HAHHAAHA... Maybe a race to get there first! LOL!

When a Drunk...

Sees something in your house that they take as being a personal challenge to them......even though no such challenge was verbalised nor implied...then they act upon it to show the world how brave, clever self-motivated they are.....oh. God!
They will yank open locked doors, they will go where no man has ever went before!
Many years ago a drunk couple got away from the tour and found themselves in a part of the house under construction and their drunky minds concluded that the exit must be had by crawling over a huge pile of nail-infested lathe boards, opening a window and crawling out.
Lucky for them it was a window on the first floor!
"Is drunk a race?"
Some of our forefather-immigrents from certain countrys were portrayed wrongfully as habitual drunks by the other previously settled in citizens....

Like Tyler said, Female is the easiest race to scare. Even when I don't try (around school, for instance), I manage to scare members of that race. XD

Uh, Jim.......why was anyone in the position to be laid on by a ghost in your house...during a haunt?

It amazes me how dumb some people can get without being drunk. But I think Jim's story about the drunk may actually beat most of the stories about what the....sexually experienced......girls at my school have done.

Believe me when I say was joking about the Female being a race thing. But seriously, ladies scare easy. It doesn't matter what race they are. You can sneeze and they'll jump.

I Beg To Differ

Being open almost every night and Sat. & Sun. afternoons for 20 years I have noticed a few things.
A group of females only will be braver (or act braver) than a mixed group.
A group of guys only will be much less reactive than a mixed group.
So are the girls reacting because the boys are there?
Are the guys not reacting because there are no girls with them to blame the guy's screams on?
I often get a sense that guys are stiffling their reactions, choking on them sometimes just so they don't seem scared.
Of course younger girls do often scream quickly and loudly for no discernable reason, very shrill, poking my ear drums ever so painfully.
If I was a Policeman searching for an evil molester of such young women I would first question the guys with really poor hearing.

Thats a good observation Jim. You should definately write an article for Larry or something. Maybe the Crazy Memoirs of The Ravens Grim Inn and Jim Warfield. Or somethin like that.

My thoughts would be kind of like some of you already stated. It's not actually a race that scares easlily but the groups and how their made up.

Although i will say the black race just looses it most male and felmale alike.

I think the black race allows themselves to enjoy things more then the other races do, they love to dance and party more then other races so why wouldn't they suck in everything a haunt would offer. Go to a black club on a saturday, it's total mayhem! (yes i had a ladyfreind and we went often and had a blast!)

As an actor giving a breakdown here based on experience over the years. Black race hands down!

My best scare came on a night i was guest acting for John at Statesville Prison in chicago, they have a Transit Authority bus thats been completley gutted and spark fenced inside, i was working the back door area where they entered but out of plain sight. My partner JD was in the front of the bus working the wand and he looked freaky as hell drawing their attention to him i have to admit JD had their attention big time!

We had a very large group come around the corner to enter the bus that has a small ramp leading into it, they were looking straight at JD and i heard the first part of the group(black folks) all saying "No freaking way im going in there" . As the second persons foot hit that ramp i came around the side with my hockey stick prop(caked in bloody flesh) aimed right at their feet. on the ramp. That first heavy set lady dropped like a ton of rocks i got her so good,she got up,spun around and took out the ten people behind her,knocked the entire group down like bowling pins!

BUT!!!! She forgot that she had taken that turn earlier mentioned leading up to the bus! This woman ran straight over the group and straight through the back wall which consisted of chain link fence and 55 gallon drums that were welded three high to form a wall . She ended up out in the parking lot!! We had to call security to stop groups so manintenence could rebuild the wall!

I felt awful so at the end of the night i went up an apologized to john and he said "Thats was you!! Don't worry about it brother thats a good thing when you get people that good"!


Other people that iv'e gotten really good are guys posing as cowboys! I scared a young guy all dressed up in the hat and boots so bad he tried to jump over a porta potty. He didn't make it and the weight of the contents in the potty flung him back and dropped him face first on the ground. He never heard the end of it from his buddy's!

Ten people and a metal wall....wow. Maybe it wasn't a heavy set woman. Maybe it was The Hulk you scared so badly. "AHH! **** THIS NOISE! HULK NOT WANT!"

I would love to be able to do that--get a scare as good as that one.
I doubt I'll get to scare act for a while though. :/
But it's always fun reading other people's stories.

From my experiences black people tend to be more afraid of clowns. Dont know why, out of every 10 black people that would walk through the haunt 9 of them would end up in tears. (In the clown portion anyway)
