What do you think ? Do you think it's the future for the next 2 or 3 years? . It seems like a great idea and that can help all of us in this business

I think its a terrible idea because almost every death related to the haunted attraction industry came from a hayride who ran over their own staff members. Now you're going to have guests drive thru with live actors running around. NOT A GOOD IDEA!

Not to mention a bunch of fly by events will open, they'll suck to high heaven and just hurt the entire industry.

    There is my prediction.

This a very viable alternative to haunts. They won't have scare actors running amok and instead rely on visual presentations under very controlled conditions. (much like the Ghost Train in Los Angeles) People will be looking for alternatives to haunts for their Halloween fix. Embrace the possibilities. Looks like a good idea, to me.

Here some of the problems for these get rich quick schemes...

        1) Your customers will facebook live the entire experience. So whatever you do will be exposed the very same day you open. You can't build one of these overnight. They will all suck and be exposed QUICK!

        2) Safety: How do you keep your actors and staff safe if you're really going to try and scare these people? Are you really going to let your actors walk up to these cars only to get run over? Keep in mind nearly every single person ever killed in the Haunted Attraction industry has come from hayrides running people over. Will you have drunk drivers? YES! Will you have some bad drivers? YES! Will you have people who have suspended licenses? YES! Will you get people without a drivers license? YES! Will you get stalled cars? YES! The list goes on.

        3) Simply put it won't be scary no way no how and if it was can you imagine a car full of girls screaming and driving themselves off the road? YES YOU CAN!

        4) Every person who called me about this wanted to set it up on a parking lot somewhere... in other words a 3 minute drive thru. Please. Lame.

Here is the deal if you have the infrastructure to do something like this meaning you already have a hayride with gravel or paved pathway thru already built out sets its possible. Outside of that its going to SUCK!

Drive thru haunts , non-scary and scare, have opened countrywide. Also haunts like Knott's Scary Farm have reimagined themselves and are now doing sold out business.

We opened a lot less nights this year so we visited a handful of cities to see some haunts. We did two drive thru attractions and both just awful. Will be interested to see if those types of attractions return in 2021. Lets hope not!
