Looking closer at your pics Larry I guess what Im looking at is targets for the ride. The little green boxes? I guess everything is interactive and moves or does something when you shoot it? And I guess you have a scoring system built on the ride as well?. I would really like to see some video of this in operation. It would really be awesome if you could put something like this in St. Louis as a second attraction to the Darkness or Creepyworld. How much did the ride cost Kennywood if you dont mind sharing.

I wouldnt tear down the whole darkness either. Maybe just part. LOL! No but I remember when you toredown the Darkness in the Welsch building and rebuilt it and it was as different as day and night. I cant imagine if you tore down this one and rebuilt it. It would be phenomenal!

    You are crazy Larry!

The Darkness is one of the most amazing Haunts on the planet! You are just tired of looking at it. I think we all feel moments of deep pride about our haunts and as many moments of just being over our shows...you just get jaded sometimes.

So don't go throwing it all out! It is a great show!

    Thanks

    Larry,

Nice work - I used to live in Pittsburgh and have frequented Kennywood many times, I am sure this is a nice addition and will get good reviews from the patrons.

    Larry,
Too bad it's not cost effective to turn the Darkness into a dark ride. That would be cool.

If we never do another dark ride I won't care... this is what I wanted to do and we did it. I wanted to do a Disney style haunted mansion that would stand for 25 years or longer. Its not perfect, and it doesn't have a Disney budget by any means, but between our company, Kennywood amusement park and all the other vendors we showed that you don't have to be some massive big boy on the block dark ride company to do something great!

    Passion is all you need!!!

I feel better after doing this and feel like something else, something different is over the next hill...

But before that its on to the Darkness. Its really weird because I spent the whole day walking around through the Darkness trying to get that project started! I really felt sick looking at it, because The Darkness just doesn't match up to this ride.

Jim was talking to me in the Darkness and he said something, and I said we can tear it all down and start over, and he thought I meant that one room, and I said NO THE WHOLE THING END TO END!

After finishing this project, I really felt like tearing down the Darkness and just starting OVER! Well we can only do what we can do...

Projects like these are the exact reason why the Darkness isn't over the top unreal something you'll never ever see somewhere else... TIME! We spent 6 months working on Kennywood and several other mini golf projects.

We're just now trying to work on the Darkness and I just don't see how we're going to get anything done. We're talking about hiring another 5 to 10 people on top of the 20 we already have.

    TIME is now our enemy!

But Kennywood was worth every second!
