Well lets hope we get an anouncement soon. I am going no matter where it is as long as there will be vendors to buy from whether it is back in Vegas, Chicago, or somewhere entirely new. I just would like to know soon.

If they do two separate shows, I would hope that there would be alot of crossover vendors. We do a lot of orders from the costume/makeup/prop vendors that are in the HCP section, and I would really hate to have to go to two tradeshows to get all my ordering done.

    Whats Up?

So no one knows anyting about this yet? Larry?

How about the vendors who were contacted? Did they tell you anything about the haunt show?

Seems as a way to make the halloween and party people happy, maybe Transworld finally thinks the way to do it is make two separate shows, separate dates, separate locations possibly.

    Anyone? Anyone?

I guess I can be happy about cutting off a few hours on my flight, a two hour flight to a new "haunt show" as opposed to a 5 hour flight to the old one....Vegas is just so 2007.

    I wouldn't book a room yet....

Now I’m just pointing out a few observations, I have NO information confirming or denying anything but….
No one has said that the HAUNT Show is moving to Vegas, just that the HALLOWEEN and PARTY Show is moving to Vegas!
Remember TW broke us off the main show.

    Go to the web site:http://www.tweshows.com/default.aspx
It lists the 25th Annual HCP Show being on Vegas March 6-9 2008.
The 14th Annual National Haunt and Attractions Show?.... “INFORMATION COMING SOON”.

I don’t know about anyone else, but I was sent an email request to take a Trade Show Survey. It was put on by a marketing research company.
They asked things like what show have you attended? What time of year do you prefer? What locations would you attend?

Just who commissioned the survey or why was not addressed. But it makes you wonder…..
Someone wants feedback on the convention experience… TW has NOT announced a location for HAUNT Show in 2009…
I wouldn’t start booking air fare just yet!!!

It seems the TW saga continues!!! Our own "Haunt Soap Opera"
IN A DEEP ANNOUNCER VOICE: (brought to you by "Hauntworld!" the world's largest Haunt related site! Is your Haunt listed?
Go to http://www.hauntedhouseonline.com/ha..._directory.cfm TODAY !!!) I bet Hanfadomous' brain is reeling from overloaded psychic messages!!!!!

Well this might sound bad. But it does give me another chance to go visit my relatives. LOL! Dont get me wrong I love them and they are great. I wouldnt have to worry about food or lodging. Just airfare and money to blow on props and maybe a little of the other things Vegas has to offer. Gambling that is. Im not a big gambler.

The majority of Haunted Attractions and Haunt Vendors are in the Midwest and the East Coast. The few? LOL. No, whether TW is in Chicago or not isn’t the issue. They need to have the show closer to Industry vendors and their customers. That way the vendors won’t have to ship their products all the way across the country, as well as pay over-inflated prices for booths and ridiculous union fees that nickel and dime them to death.

Actually, I’ve been told by MANY vendors that the lack of other activities in Chicago has worked in their favor. Since people don’t have much to do in Chicago, vendors congregate at the Crowne. As a result, they’ve made valuable connections and done more business than ever before. Have you ever heard of businessmen doing business on the golf course? The same thing applies for the “Crowne” in Chicago. In Vegas, there were so many activities/distractions that such gatherings were just not possible.

So let's have some suggestions! Where is the Vegas Crowne?
Prior to the last Transworld Vegas show, people tried to decide on the same thing on this message board, but there were just too many activities available in Vegas and it never happened, because everyone just went their own way. Besides, as xxxdirk said, with the clientele they already have, most Vegas bars are already too crowded, without Haunter attendance. Good luck finding a “Crowne” in Vegas. LOL

From the bars I visited in Vegas, the main problem is they are just SO frickin crowded. TRy to get 200 haunters in there on top of the "normal" people is darn near impossible........

    Well for me....

I mean it was not the money yeah it was kinda high but myself I can afford it. But is it me or is it just not the same? I mean it just felt different and the floor always seemed dead. I will go back but this time I will look for fun things to do to keep it intersting for me. Shane Graystone

    I'm in the minority

I know I'm in the minority here, but I love Vegas. Had a great time and looking forward to going back. Chicago in January, I think I may have had to think hard about that one, but probably still would have gone, not at all disappointed in the move.

I do firmly believe that Transworld may just have saved its Halloween show. It would not have survived the dates and location it had planned and they know it. The few people moaning about it leaving Chicago are the ones that drive there and would have been very much alone in January. I love how people continue to say Vegas has too many distractions for the show. Since when has too many choices for entertainment been a bad thing. We went to the show and did what we went to do. We made purchases and were on the show floor 3 days solid and did not leave until we were done. Not only that we saw several Vegas shows and stayed a little longer to enjoy the city.

I doubt I’ll go back next year. I got my taste of Vegas this year and that’s enough for me for quite a while. The Amazing Johnathan was great, but I’m still recovering from the cost of high-priced meals and cab rides. I’ll be going to MHC this year and that’s probably where I’ll continue to go if Transworld doesn’t return to the Midwest. I agree. Without the "Crowne Experience", it just isn't the same.

IF I do go back, I will fly in the day before, see everything Fri-Sunday and fly out Monday. I will also make sure to leave my nights open for some shows seeing how there is no CROWNE to hang at......

Sounds like Vegas has one hooked! "Look at all them light bulbs! All in one place!"
You just broke little Transworld's heart by saying that.
A merely 25 year old trade show from Chicago doesn't know many people in Vegas yet, except for her pimp!
Life can be tough out there!
Maybe next year she will be ready and you two could hook up and you could bring her back home to Wisconsin?
