My vote is for Orlando. Each year after TW I fly my crew down to Disney World. It will save me lots of $$$$ having a trade show right in orlando.
-
i know us Floridians aren't considered 'real Southerners', but Orlando seems like the perfect place to hold any type of convention.

Since several of you are asking via email or pm, I will hold the convention some time, Early summer of 2009. Doing a lot of research I find it to be my only available option

I also seem to have a high supply of people wanting it to also cover, Arkansas,Tennessee, South Carolina, ect. I have a lot of emails about it. So I will add Arkansas, Tennessee, South Carolina, Georgia.

Southern Convention....
If you're going as far south as Florida why skip Georgia? We do happen to have the number one haunted house in the nation (voted last year by this very site). There are a lot of southern haunts here!

I'm planning on doing it any time that will be convenient for me with all the other things I have going on. I will probably have the date posted anywhere from 8 to 12 months before the show, as well as the location, But like I have been saying, this is not a done deal, my poll is still open on This forum, Home haunting 101, and Haunted Conventions and seminars. The poll will be open for 10 days on each forum, the first day was yesterday, and not counting today, there is 8 days left to vote. I must get at least 60% yes average for the three forums or I will not even bother. Here are my results so far:
On Fright Forums: 14 voters yes 4 voters no
Home haunting 101: 3 voters yes 1 voter no
Haunted conventions and seminars 1 voter yes 1 voter no.
Please continue voting!

Oh and each year it will be a different location in the south for those of you asking. It will cover lets say Texas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama, Florida, and thats it, But anybody from anywhere can attend it.

I am aware
From past experience with haunting, and going to hauntcon and mhc, I am fully aware it will not be an easy task, I have been haunting for six years now. Thanks guys!

We are not 100% Haunter but we started CON NOOGA in 2008.
A Multi-Fandom Convention in Chattanooga.
Covering Anime, Horror, Sci-Fi, Gaming etc...
Panels covering all aspects and contests etc...
We were well attended by all fandoms and had just at 1,000 folks attend our FIRST YEAR!
We would love to see more Haunters involved w/ us and we would gladly support a Convention in the Pigeon Forge area. Be forewarned it's not an easy task....
Or I would be more than willing to work w/ you on this project.
Good Luck
Todd

Upper East Tennessee sounds good to me, across the street from my house would be convenient. Actually I always thought Pigeon Forge or Gatlinburg would be ideal.

I need more info...What areas are you planning on covering Flordia, Texas, Southern Cali? the south is a big area. And what days do you want to do it on. The prob now is that weve got 3 major Conventions in Jan(transworld), May(Hauntcon) and June(mhc), With Eastern State gaining steam. With all these conventions it gives people options but it also makes people decide which ones to go to.
