Drop Panel Question?

We have been using drop panels for 4 years and when they slam they take a beating. I was wondering what everyone uses for the drop panel track? Thanks

We used some garage door track and built the frame to mount the rollers to. Just have to make sure everything is tight fitting to keep it from jumping off. Its worked pretty well so far...

We are also using the old school plywood and wood tracks. We tried cabinet drawer tracks but they get ruined and come off the track later at night. How do you make it slide so easy on the wood any special tips, tricks? Thanks

loose fit, lay it on the lower lip and pull it back to release. Other way is a dead bolt lock, again, with a loose fit....depending on what side of the wall you are on

We use aluminum C channel and MDF for the slide panel. Holds up great slides fast and you get a nice big bang.

Drawer sliders here

We use heavy duty drawer slides, but we do need to repair the panels every two or three years. The drop panel splits, or something else breaks, but the drawers hinges have worked surprisingly well. I do have to warn my actors not to put their chin directly over the panel when it drops. They have a tendency to bounce back up and hit them square in teh chin! LOL
