  • Dark Ride Movie

I watched the movie "Dark Ride" the other evening. It is one of the Eight horror movies released by Lions Gate as one of the eight goriest movies. Guess who did the special effects. Patrick McGee. Thats right McGee Effects from our beloved haunt industry. And there is a really nice special effects special feature. Plus there are a ton of Scarefactory props in it. Pretty entertaining movie too. I wouldn't say it was the best movie i have ever seen, but it was fun saying, "there is a scarefactory prop"

I agree Kevin, I wasn't the best film, But yeah when I saw that too I was happy for Pat.

Always good to have good fortunes come to the Industry. Overall though, the film was entertaining. I picked up all the Films to Die DVDs this weekend that they have released. I believe only 7 fof them are currently out.

Yeah, I saw Dark Ride in the theater and was happy to see it compared to the most of the other flicks they claimed were too intense.

I also purchased Dark Ride on DVD since it has a few ideas I'd like to incorporate for scares.

I know the director Craig Singer and I also know Patrick.

I haven't seen the movie but I did buy the DVD. I'm hoping to check it out over the next day or two. I was asked to bid on building all the sets in the dark ride, but didn't bid, didn't have time.

I know Scarefactory did some work on it though.

I'll have to check it out.

Did anyone see all 8 movies? Which one is the best?

Are the bloody movies that just came out not doing so well because of the last slaughter of innocent people in Virginia?
Sometimes things can work like that.

            I don't know Jim.
Every time I go to rent 1 I am lucky to find any.

            Larry,
Like I said Dark Ride was not the best movie I have seen. And a couple of the others are pretty bad, but I really try to watch a film with no pre-conceptions. It usually ruins it for you. I just expect to be entertained.

Gravedancers, Wicked Little Things, Unrest and Dark Ride and the Hamiltons were my top (I think - boy did'nt I write a blog?)

I saw them all and was rather disappointed...

Dark Ride had it's moments, as well as the others, but none stood out and left you really impressed.

The Hamiltons could have been much better with people capable of acting. The acting sucked but I liked the premise.

Wicked Little Things was cool since it was little kids killing and eating folks...how cool is that!

Unrest was a Morgue / Interns and was ok but the ending sucked

That's my take... Other people felt Abandoned was best and it was at the BOTTOM of my list...
