  • Looking to Create a Frozen Charactor

Looking to make the costume for this charactor appear to be frozen. How can this be done? Any help would be wonderful!!!

    For a frozen character-
Completely frozen, or been in a freezer for 12 hours frozen? Clear packing tape can be applied to costuming to make it seem to have a sheen of ice, clear silicone caulk can be applied and a bit of prismatic glitter sprinkled while it is still drying. Mists of white and blue spray paint really help also. There are a couple of good "freeze" make up kits out there that work well. You may also get some milage out of a video I did on my youtube channel a while back-

paint and drip elmers glue on the costume, this will make it look like clear ice, spray it with some whit spray paint as you drip shredded poly over the costume, how you do this is take a fistfull of shredded poly and put the white plastic spray paint under neath and drop the poly into the spray paint as your spray.... You can get shredded poly at http://snowbusinesshollywood.com/products.htm or you can get a velvet flocker and put in *clear* none bead foam or plastic bags and chop it up. That chopped up plastic is called poly. The spray glue will make it adhere... You can buy this poly stuff during the holidays, just look up holiday snow on ebay....

        Hope this helps,

I've seen a face and hands painted with a VERY lightly tinted silicone like Dragon Skin or skin tite applied to the actor and sprinkled lightly with epsom salts. It looks like ice crystals have formed on them and this effect can be ampped up in eyebrows and beards as well as hair. Good luck!!!
