I don't think I've ever seen a FEMALE clown mask in the industry. Not saying they don't exist, but I just haven't ever thought about it. That's pretty cool.O'Shawn McClendon

Neat Drawings!
Maybe the reason there has never been a female clown mask is because after all the clothes and hair and make-up goes on, a female will usually be thoroughly hidden "in there"?
Maybe we aren't supposed to be thinking or considering male/female ideals when a clown is seen?
Just a "Clown"?
All the garb and colors will distract/entertain anyway making most forget gender.
Maybe it has traditionally supposed to play like that?
Guys will be wearing the female clown mask to try to hide they are guys.
