Advertising in 13th hour mag.....bad idea?

Just got a call from them....

Apparently they will have both my ad and the article they wrote in their issues for IAAPA...
Anyone heading down there, swing by there booth and let me know if you see anything about Shattered FX. Regardless im still not doing any business with them since the IAAPA issue is one i specifically said i didn't want in, i wanted the 2 TW issues and mid west...

Did you ask what was their reasoning for not having it prior to this or all of their other problems? Just curious.

Amen Shane and everyone I paid and didn't get mine for over a year. Only was sent one after several emails and calls. Bad business ppl. I vote them banned from Transworld as well. I think many should be if they are producing there merchandise.

I only recieved one issue after paying for a year subscription.. that was a few years ago.

I wonder if Transworld would ban a vendor if we apply some pressure or sign a petition. It may be a place to start. How many years can they keep collecting money and not providing the service.

13th Hour has an approved account on our forums. They signed up and we approved them about 6 months ago or so... the last time there was some talk about their magazine. From my understanding they had planned to jump on and fill everyone in and what they plan to do. I encourage it.

I don't care if the owners of Haunted Attraction Magazine or 13th Hour get on our forums and talk about their magazines. They both have accounts and either one can post whenever they'd like and talk about whatever regarding their magazines.

I have nothing against either magazine and seriously I want to state for the record that these magazines do NOT make money. They just don't or I should say at least I know our magazine does not make money. There is not enough vendor support to buy ads to help offset all the cost in printing them. Seems like we are charging the least amount of ads and we can't even get that many supporters... I don't know why either because people who buy these magazines from us are captive audience and they collect these things never throwing away a single issue.

They are great tools to promote a vendors business. I do know this ... we will go another step in order to win over more vendors support for the magazine because we need more support otherwise we might not print the thing anymore.

I can't speak for the other magazines out there but I know we do our best and its a lot of work. I don't envy the other magazines and what they go through to publish these things.

Is making a killing! I have said this and it's been proven many times over and over. They take money for subscriptions and they never send them out! I would be shocked if he prints anything over 50 just so he has something to show! He also trades vendors for thousands of dollars in product for ads that NEVER GET SEEN BECAUSE HE DOES NOT SEND THEM OUT! I think we can make an example because we have vendors involved who want's to join me as a group and find out why person after person after person does not get their magazines and do this on the show floor. If we start doing this people like this will stop showing in fear of getting embarrased! Honestly I don't want them anymore but maybe you could get your money back! My recessive redneck gene must be stronger than I thought.

On principal alone, if these @$$ hats took my currency and stiffed me on the goods
and I then went to their booth at Tworld they'd either fork over the cash or St. Louis' finest
would have to escort me out. Not suggesting anyone get accosted, but I'm hall of fame
in your face if you steal from me. I can't believe this ilk of people is tolerated by an entire
room full of businesspeople.

I think everyone should do a "Occupy 13th Hour Booth" at Transworld till they give everyone the back issues that they owe subscribers and refunds to their advertisers.....
