"We have ways of making you talk."
Might have been the title for any video ever shot of two local officers getting pertinent info from some people who thought they were going to protect their brother/buddy who really messed up in here.
Maybe the words "Human Beach Ball" conjure up the special image in everyone's mind?
Name, address, they went 20 miles away the next morning and picked him up. He paid restituion for the mess, either that or go to see the judge...again! He was a repeat offender.
    Can you spell "Loser", class?

We've got staff that can deal with unruly folks, however, it it's really a bad one, we have off duty police officers, too. They're all connected by two way radios. You'd be surprised how into the haunting some of the cops are. Like kids in a candy store. Best thing is, the ones that love it sign up for more time!

We used to handle it ourselves but when alcohol gets involved with some patrons things can get out of hand. We decided last year to go with off duty police officers. We have to pay but its worth it-it leaves us with nothing but haunting to deal with and the cops to handle line-breakers,etc.

Last year the haunt hired one security guard and one off-duty police officer. I kept the security guard inside the haunt and the officer outside - all of us had radios. We only had one arrest and a few people were asked to leave because they were too intoxicated to even stand in line (the police took care of that).

I will never hire a security guard again - he was very high maintenance and I had problems with him discussing lap dances with my underage female actresses. Plus, the cop didn't appreciate his presence.

We paid the cop $30 an hour but he said next year he would drop the rate. He seemed to have a great time working the haunt.

We have our security detail and 1 or 2 officers in Memphis.

Chattanooga has 3 Officers in Squad Cars (we have to block the road for buses) and my security team also.

    So DITTO to most above!!

Splurge for at least (1) Officer - their presence is worth it...

One off duty Putnam county sherff in uniform and with his patrol car. All for just $20.00 a hour, that is cheap!

We have our own security since that is what their "real" world jobs are. They just come to the haunt and change shirts so they wear our patches.

But we also have off-duty police officers from Weber Co. there. We do it in trade. They babysit us, we donate money to the policeman's ball and other events they hold. We get 4 days of service for each donation. I don't mind because they have FUN events

We do a combination of off-duty police officers and hiring our own security. The great thing about off-duty police is they can wear their uniforms and carry handcuffs, billy clubs and a gun if they choose to do so. This is a Very Strong deterrent!

    Hey Guys,

Just wondering what you do for security. We usually have one or two police details, and the rest we do on our own.
