  • RIP my beloved cousin

Sad news I just received, my mentally ill cousin passed away yesterday. For 39 years, he battled a disease that affected the growth of the brain. I cant remember the name of this disease, but his brain never matured past what a normal 4 years old's brain would be. He wasnt expected to live past teenage years, but he held on for much longer. The last 2 years have been very stressful for my aunt and uncle, but the pain is over with, and he is in a better place right now. Complete kidney failure was the cause, and I know that would have been very painful, but all of his pain and suffering is over with. Sadly enough, I could not make it to his funeral, as my job has me sitting about 600 miles away.

    I WILL MISS YOU GREG!!!!

I'm so sorry Brad... I can relate to you. My sister, 16, has down syndrome... I know just how attached a loved one like that can become to you.

I'm so sorry! Thoughts and prayers are with you and yours. -Tyler

Let me tell you, my cousin who helped me start this website died of a heart attack at 32 young years of age! Much too young! I had a girlfriend who died in a car wreck at the age of 21, and a good friend named Marty who was only like 26, he was hit in the back by a dumb AZZ driver peeling out. Whenever someone young dies its just so much harder, and sometimes you never can see it coming.

I'm sure he was surrounded by his friends and family, and that is very comforting!!! I feel your pain and will say a prayer for you!

                Hold tight my friend!

We're sending our thoughts and prayers your way Brad. You're right, Greg is in a better place now with a whole mind and body and without suffering. The love of Greg's friends and family remain with him. There's a book by Dale Evans Rogers, wife of Roy Rogers, called Angel Unaware. If you have a chance to get a copy for Greg's parents, I know they'd enjoy it and it would be very comforting to them. The book is available through half.com at http://search.half.ebay.com/Angel-Unaware_W0QQmZbooks Actually, I recommend anyone read this book. It's excellent!
