How was your 2010 season ?

Now that we are a couple of weeks past the season and you are cathcing your breath, how was your season?

We were up again in many areas including ave/night, total attendance, comps, tickets sold.

And the good news is the core crew started talking about 2011 after we closed on Halloween!

the Screams Continue for 2010

The Niles Haunted House Scream Park had a major hit in 2009, considering it rained 17 out of 21 Nights...

However, 2010 brought things back into the perspective and we actually utilized most of the 15+ Acres of Parking in a single night. In addition we welcomed interior visitor 1,300,000... Yes, that's ONE MILLION. Not including our 3 other attractions. Things are looking up and we are already underway for 2011.

This was my worst season yet, zero people. Of course we didn't open but whatever. I'm hoping the dude that said 1,300,000 or whatever meant all time not just this season.

I'm pretty sure he means over 40 years. That is how long Niles has been around. So 60,000 per night divided by 40 years is an average of 1500 per night.

NILESHAUNTEDHOUSE, is that actual people, or tickets sold, because you have 5 haunts in one spot right, so if I visit you and go to all 5 do I count as one or as 5.

Sorry about the delayed response....

GRAYSTONE: Oh No No No! 1,300,000 is the cumulative attendance over the course of the years since our records began in 1987 when we officially became the Niles Haunted House. This doesn't include attendance as an Original Jaycee's when the project began back in the mid 70's.

BONI: We've been around for probably close to 35-37 years. We are still trying to uncover the true year the Jaycee's originated in Niles. But yes, we do offer 6 Attractions, however we do not include 3 of them into our actual totals. This number only comes from our interior attraction. The Niles Haunted House can throughput over 1,200 people per hour with utilization of its multiple routes. Our Haunted Hayride alone puts through nearly 4,000 patrons per night during the core of our season. Interior attractions alone we do on average 75,000-81,000 per season. We are very thankful for our location. Being withing a 100 mile radius from Chicago, Notre Dame, Grand Rapids, etc, it helps tremendously. Hopefully this answers your question.
