  • New DVD's From Halloween Productions

    Okay guys here we go...

We are ALL set to remodel The Darkness and within this job we will be doing a ton more of foam carving and detailing. We will make two new dvd's ... ONE a new how to detail dvd and yes a foam carving dvd.

This time around when we do the foam carving we are going to spray it with gunite (hope I spelled that right) in other words concrete so we get a REAL cave feel. We are going to tear out our mummy box scene where the gator is and build a massive gator scene inside a cave with a waterfall.

We are also going to take out that elephant and trex and build a cave through there with live snakes in somewhat of a crypt type scene and a giant massive animated snake, and finally down stairs we are going to build another cave type setting where we had that three headed dog. In replacement of that scene we'll be building a SPIDER scene with a massive 8 foot by 10 foot giant animated spider and several other smaller attacking spiders.

All three of these rooms will require us to sculpt with foam... we will show you how to build a waterfall, cave and carve foam. Sound fun?

Upstairs we are going to build this embalming room sorta its hard to explain, we are going to do this video illusion with Kip's help, (trust me you will all want to buy one at next years show...it will be awesome) and overall just more in general detail stuff. The big thing on the detail video will be at Lemp where we will build a mansion. So most of the detail work will be done there.

So we'll have two more dvd's coming March.

People keep asking us for a foam carving and the detail video went over so well so here we go ...

Any suggestions on what you'd like to see covered post here.

Looking forward to getting both videos. I would like to see you assemble your wall sections and how you make them interlock. I have a general idea but would like to know exactly how you make them. And also your technique to building walls to the ceiling to make the room look more realistic. Anymore painting or detailing tips for the haunted mansion that you didnt include on your last video would be cool.
    Thanks,

We are going to do gaint roaches, scorpions, snakes and maybe rats.

In our que line we are going to build more ruins and inside do live deadly animals themed into the que line... we might do a massive anaconda but we will not keep them just rent them for the season then the owners would take them back.

I don't want to care for snakes and stuff.

We are also going to build a catacomb then fill it with real snakes and stuff inside the haunted house.

The thing is we are going to sculpt everything from foam then spray it with concrete. We are also going to built some of the catacombs with plexi and tops so you can get the animals in and out of the catacomb.

Hard to explain but it will be awesome. Inside the catacomb will be a massive animated snake built just for the darkness plus much more and we'll be able to put all this down on a video.

I must have been asked 1000 times about a foam dvd so now you'll have it... foam and more foam here we come.

This other dvd will be just more detailing your haunted house as we build a mansion from scratch inside the Lemp Brewery.

So you'll learn how to build and detail a haunted mansion... all in time from Transworld 2011.

I imagine it would be tough taking care of the animals throughout the year. When you rent them do you also rent the handler or do they kind of just drop the animal off?

What will the NEW dvd prices be?

Any idea ? Hopefully, they will each be 2 hours long. I enjoy all of the tapes and dvd's I have, which is almost all of them. I will probably add these new ones to my collection. Thank you, larry and jim

We have an approx 900 sq.ft cave this year that we built a waterfall in. Its not grand or huge, but it's great for a first attempt at it.

We also used the TigerFoam system for the walls, and it turned out to be really good.

I hopefully will be able to spice it up for next year.

And I cant wait to see what Larry throws together on this.

Already counting down the days till TW!!

Larry the videos sound great. Looking forward to them.

The only bit of suggestion I would give is to make sure you or the people you are renting from have a class C exhibitors license for the live animals in your queue line. You can contact the USDA aphis inspector in your area to find out what the requirements are.

I give this suggestion because the USDA has the authority to shut down an attraction that they believe is detrimental to the health of the animal. It is rare that they do this but they could.

If you need more info let me know.

                Good Luck on the DVD's
